Paul H. Steele, 86, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his home in Yorktown.
He was born in Worcester, MA, to Paul R. and Helen B. Steele.
He served in the Army for 13 yrs and toured in Vietnam, where he was injured in a helicopter crash. After his honorable discharge, Paul and wife, Betty, spent their time helping the elderly and fellow veterans. He loved fishing, camping and boating. His greatest love was his wife of 67 yrs and taking care of his family.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Paul R. and Helen B. Steele and his son, David F. Steele. He is survived by his wife, Betty Steele; two daughters, Donna Salati, Paula Bell (Heather); a son, Paul H. Steele Jr (Amy); 5 brothers, Bobby of SC, John of FL, Ronny of TN, Terry of WV, David of VA; 1 sister, Janet of AL; 8 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Family and Friends are invited to Celebrate Paul’s Life from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Weymouth Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Military Honors at the funeral home.
