It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Grant Walls Jr., who passed away July 14, 2025.
Bob was born on April 20, 1944, in Hillsville, Virginia, to Robert and Virginia Walls. He was a devoted husband to Jenella for 24 years and a loving father to Dawn and her husband, Cort. He is survived by a sister, Jennifer, and her husband, Bill Ireson; grandchildren, Tristin Rash and Megan Mayo; great-grandchildren, Weston Rash, Kane Mayo, and Jeffery Hilliard III; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He graduated from Concord College in Athens, West Virginia, with a degree in Chemistry. Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the Army and attended Officer Candidate School ending his Army career as a Captain. He retired from Honeywell in Hopewell, Virginia. Bob was a devoted member and deacon at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, in Charles City, Virginia. He was a 51-year member of the Mann Page Masonic Lodge #157, Providence Forge, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held 11 AM, Friday, July 18, 2025, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 19300 The Glebe Ln, Charles City, VA 23030. A visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM, Thursday July 17, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Charles City Volunteer Rescue Squad, 7100 Adkins Rd, Charles City, VA 23030; or to the Parkinson Research Foundation, 5969 Cattleridge Blvd Ste 100, Sarasota, FL 34232.
