Ezra Eugene “Gene” Wooten, 67, of Mattaponi, VA passed away July 9, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Gene was employed by West Rock for over 25 years as a scale operator. He was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Worship Center and loved his church family.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, James Adam and Sylvia Wooten; his siblings, Catherine “Kitty” Wooten, Larry and Kenny Wooten.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Wooten; a son Josh Wooten; a brother James “Jimmy” Wooten (Barbara Jean) and many other family members who loved him and will miss him.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20th at Gospel Lighthouse Worship Center, 4427 Buena Vista Road, Saluda, VA 23156.
