Temple Roane Garnett-Burton, 82, of Saluda, VA peacefully went to her Lord and Savior on June 16, 2025.
Temple was a devoted member of New Hope Memorial Baptist Church where she was active in the Women’s Missionary Union.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Louisa Roane; her husbands, John “Jack” M. Garnett, Jr. and John C. Burton; and her daughter, Rebecca Claire Garnett.
Temple graduated from Pleasant Hill High School and attended Averett University (formerly Averett Jr. College) in Danville, VA.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Beamer; her nephew, Todd Beamer (Stacy); and her great-nephew, Hunter Beamer (BreAnne) and numerous cousins.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to everyone with Riverside Walter Reed Hospice and Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehabilitation in Saluda for their excellent care of and compassion for Temple.
