Dorothy M. Kelly, born January 30, 1940, in Claremont, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, in Norfolk, Virginia, at the age of eighty-five.
A gifted beautician and dedicated entrepreneur, Dot built a thriving career in the beauty industry, where her talent, hard work, and genuine warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she served. While she took great pride in her professional accomplishments, her greatest joy came from her family, with whom she cherished every moment. A woman of deep faith, she was also a devoted member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Norfolk.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kelly, Sr, her son, Harry Kelly, Jr, sister Millicent Boisclair and her beloved parents, Arthur, and Josephine (nee Asanowicz) Coulombe. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Joseph (Audrey), Patricia Godshall, Wayne (Cheryl), her sister Sandra Wirrell, nephews Stephen Boisclair, Andrew Boisclair, James Boisclair, niece Joann Theiss, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a circle of close friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, no formal services will be held. She will return to Claremont, New Hampshire, to be laid to rest with her family at St. Mary Cemetery, with the assistance of Stringer Funeral Home.
Dot’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, and her memory will continue to bring comfort and joy to those who knew her.
