Janet Woodall Blair, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Born on June 12, 1931, in New Jersey, Janet led a life rich in faith, family, and love.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Blair. Together, they built a beautiful life in Williamsburg, Virginia, where they raised their four children: Andy (Margaret), Valerie, Jim, and Mark (Patty). Janet was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and to four great-grandchildren. She was a guiding presence whose love, wisdom, and grace will forever be remembered.
A woman of deep faith, Janet was an active member of the Episcopal community, finding strength and joy in her church and its mission. She was also a passionate reader and lifelong learner who found delight in the written word and the pursuit of knowledge.
Janet treasured her summers at her “camp” on Branch Lake in Ellsworth, Maine, a place where she created cherished memories with family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg on March 7th at 10:30am.
