Edward D. Montgomery passed away on October 12, 2024.
He was a dedicated and honorable man who served his country with distinction. During the Vietnam War, Edward proudly served in the Army, where he earned two Bronze Stars for valor, the Soldier’s Medal, two overseas bars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. His commitment to service continued throughout his life as he worked as a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. Government.
Edward was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and his family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosa Montgomery; his cherished daughter, Schantal Montgomery, and her husband, Andrew Schmidt; and his adored grandchildren, Tessa and Grace Schmidt.
A rosary service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 12:00 PM at St. Bede Catholic Church.
Edward’s legacy of service and love will be remembered by all who knew him.
