Linda was born in Morristown, NJ to John Charles DeRidder and Aurelia Hughes DeRidder. She grew up in Lake Hopatcong, NJ with her older brother Craig and her younger brother Scott.
She was a member of the very first graduating class of Hopatcong High School in 1972. Following high school, Linda attended Berkely Business School in Ohio and settled in Ohio after graduating. Linda relocated to Elizabeth City, NC in the mid 1990’s to help care for her aging parents.
She eventually found her happy place in Virginia Beach, VA where she worked 25 years as a Sr. Lab Tech for Virginia Oncology Associates. Linda enjoyed her career immensely and developed very dear and close relationships with her many friends and co-workers.
Linda had an unwavering love of animals. Linda’s pets were her children and throughout her entire life she was devoted to giving her kitties and precious pugs a loving home that most pets could only dream of.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Aurelia DeRidder and her older brother, Craig DeRidder.
Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her brother Scott J. DeRidder and his wife Beth of Virginia Beach, sister-in-law Lauren DeRidder of Ormond Beach, FL, beloved nieces and nephews; Jordan Caruana and her husband Mike of Norfolk, VA, Samantha DeRidder of Virginia Beach, Colton DeRidder of Austin, TX, Marshall DeRidder of Virginia Beach and her cherished pugs Scotty and Sammy that were the light of her life.
