Gary Wilson White, born on April 17, 1955, in North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024, in Suffolk at the age of 69. He served his country with pride and distinction in both the Air Force and the Army, embodying the true spirit of dedication and service.
Gary worked diligently as a stock person throughout his career, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional life, he was a man of many passions. An avid photographer, Gary captured the beauty of the world through his lens, preserving moments that will be cherished by those who knew him. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for hunting, fishing, and crabbing – activities that brought him immense joy and tranquility.
A sports enthusiast, Gary enjoyed baseball and found solace in running and stretching, which kept him grounded and healthy. His talent as a band drummer added rhythm to his life and the lives of those around him, leaving behind a legacy of music and memories.
Gary was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Curtis and Violet White. He is survived by his devoted son, Gary White Jr., and his wife Colleen; his three cherished grandsons, Braden, Kolby, and Jacob; his brothers, David White and Michael Walker; and his sisters, Susan Dolena and her husband Christopher, and Vicki Tejada.
Gary’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, who will miss his adventurous spirit, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
