Tina H. Adkins, 62, of Providence Forge, VA, unexpectedly entered eternal rest on March 19, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lillian Holmes and grandson, Tristian.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, E. Preston Adkins; son, Wesley (Robin); daughter, Stormie (Jonathan); grandchildren, KK, Quincey (and his mother Nikki), Jaiden and Mason; sister and best friend, Gail (John); and brothers, Vincent (Shirley), Lawrence (Susie), Howard (Vicki); brothers and sisters-in-law, Eunice (Martin), Rodney, Dexter (Tina), Elvie (Rob), Regina and Lynn; a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; as well as devoted and special friends, Alton, CJ, Melva, Michelle, Justine, Wanda, Leslie, Marlena, Lanay, Hilda, Ava and Beau.
Tina was a member of Samaria Baptist Church and citizen of the Chickahominy Indian Tribe. In her free time, she enjoyed going out to eat with friends, attending pow-wows and being with her pow-wow family, and most of all being an amazing caregiver for her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chickahominy Indian Tribe building fund or Charles City County Volunteer Fire Department.
The family would like to thank everyone for their acts of kindness during this time.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 26 at Samaria Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 25 at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA.
