Aubrey N. Johnson, Jr., 57, of Charles City, VA, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. He was born on November 16, 1966, to the late Aubrey Sr. and Shirley Johnson.
Affectionately known as “Jr.” he attended the public schools of Charles City County and later became self-employed, working as a laborer, tackling odd jobs. “Jr.” had a passion for automobiles and took joy in tinkering with them, mastering the art of getting them back on the road. He relished the challenge of fixing anything that was broken. Additionally, he found solace in drawing and cherished spending time in the company of others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Louvenia Wooten, and brothers-in-law Lindsey Rucker and Gunious Brown.
“Jr.” is survived by his siblings: Lesa Jones (Herschel), Denise Whitehead, Brenda Charity (Donald), Audrey Rucker, Barbara Brown; brother-in-law – Edward Wooten; his spouse Antoinette Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Vincent Funeral Home in Providence Forge, VA. A private family service will be held at a later date.
