Priscilla Larimer, 83, of Virginia Beach

Priscilla Larimer (Altmeyer Funeral Home)

Priscilla (Pat) Irene (Mikullitz) Larimer, age 83, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of November 20, 2023 in Virginia Beach, VA.

Priscilla was born on November 28, 1939 in Hartford, CT, to the late Carl and Ruth Mikullitz. She moved to Miami, FL with her Dad, Mom (Billie) and Bruce (her brother) when she was young, and graduated from Miami High (MIAHI). Miami is also where she met the love of her life, John Larimer, Jr. After John teased her almost every weekend for a year about getting married, the two finally eloped with their parents to Valdosta, GA.

Priscilla worked as a Secretary for the Department of Defense (DOD) Civil Service in Key West, FL, where she was also the President of the Navy Wives Club. She continued working for the DOD in Barber’s Point, HI, where she was also the Ombudsman to the Navy EOD Wives, transferring to the Naval Weapons Station in Concord, CA, then to the EOD Naval Weapons Station in Indian Head, MD. She retired as the IT Manager (GS13) at the Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek after 23 years. When she retired in 2000, she and her devoted husband, John, became full time RV campers and would travel to Florida each winter.

Priscilla is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, John Larimer, Jr. and her younger brother, Bruce (Mari) Branch of Hollywood, FL. Priscilla and John have three children, John III, Cathy and Charles, all of Va. Beach. She was a Grandma to John Larimer, IV (Olivia), Tiffany Larimer-Deol (Prubh), Maria, Charla, Brian (Amanda) Buxbaum and Kevin Buxbaum, and a Great Grandma to Alyssa, Erika, Kristin, Johnny V and Leah.

The family would like to thank the amazing and compassionate Hospice Nurses and Caregivers at both Westminister-Canterbury and Sentara Virginia Beach General, as well as Margie Buxbaum, who was an angel to our family.

Services will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home at 5033 Rouse Dr., Va. Beach on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association (which also supports Dementia), or a charity of your choice.
