Darrin “Debo” Ramon Jones went to be with the Lord. Darrin was born to the late Malvin Scott Jones, Sr., and Beatrice Barbour Jones on October 28, 1967.
Darrin confessed the Lord Jesus as his Savior at an early age and was baptized and joined Little Elam Baptist Church. Darrin received his formal education in the Ruthville High School System in Charles City, VA, and received his diploma in the year of 1986.
Upon graduation, Darrin worked at Byrd Press for 12 years, until the company started reconstructing their work force and downsized, causing Darrin to seek employment elsewhere. In Darrin’s work search, he was employed by several companies: Cadmus Communications, Jones’ Diesel, intern at Gold’s Gym and Charles City Recreational Center, where he thoroughly enjoyed designing training programs for his clientele. In his leisure time, “Debo” enjoyed certain sports, including shooting pool, karate, bike riding, and being around family and friends, laughing it up!
Darrin truly loved the Lord and he looked for any opportunities to talk about God with anyone. He sung with the Gilfield Baptist Church Men’s Choir and Little Elam’s Men’s Choir.
Darrin, “Debo”, leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers, Malvin Jr. (Ginger) and Anthony (Karen), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We send a special Thank You to Susie Woodley and Grace Bradby for their time spent preparing meals for Debo!
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Little Elam Baptist Church, 8840 Church Ln, Charles City, VA 23030.
