At a young age, Evelyn relocated to Williamsburg where she attended the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools graduating from Bruton Heights School.
Evelyn accepted Christ at an early age and became a lifelong member of First Baptist Church.
On December 26, 1952, Evelyn was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Paul Garson Orange. They were blessed with three sons. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt who always enjoyed being in the presence of her family.
She was a woman of few words with a never-ending faith in God. As a homemaker, she devoted her entire life to nurturing and teaching biblical morals to her family. Her quiet and humble spirit always reflected loving kindness.
