PROVIDENCE FORGE — Ruth Elma Randolph Crump of Charles City, Virginia peacefully transitioned on Sunday August 29, 2021.
Ruth was married to Eugene Raymond Crump Sr. on March 29,1942 until death parted them on September 24,1998. Also preceding her in death were her two grandsons Troy H. and Corey A Paige Sr., her two brothers Thomas C. and Noah E. Randolph.
She is survived by her son Eugene R. Crump Jr. (Judy) and her daughter Grace C. Paige (Louis); two grandsons, Eugene III (Rita) and Mark Crump (Rhonda); a devoted granddaughter Shanda P. Bullock (Mark) and granddaughter in law Angela Paige; 11 great grandchildren, Corey Jr., De’Vontae, Corbin, Mark, Hunter, Dontae, Eugene IV., Rebecca, Jayden, Travis, Ariel; seven great grandchildren, Corbin Jr., Kordae, Josiah, Kyden, Jolee, Symia, Jianni. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Young and four sisters in law, Sarah Crump, Mary Randolph, Nellie Crump-Thomas and Irma Randolph.
Ruth was a faithful member of New Vine Baptist Church which she joined at an early age. She served on the following ministries Deaconess, Hospitality, Ushers, and Missionary as well as helped organize the youth ministry. She was also the Mother of the Church being the oldest member.
A funeral service will be held 2PM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA. A walk through viewing will take place from 6PM – 8PM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the funeral home. Mask will be required while attending services.
