WILLIAMSBURG — Marcia L. Baker Stauch passed gracefully from this life Wednesday, June 30, 2021, after succumbing to Alzheimer’s disease.
Born July 30, 1942, to Bettie Lenhart (Baker) Kralick and Robert Baker (U.S. Army), she spent many weekends and summer days with her Aunt Viola and beloved Uncle Charles David in their gardens and along the Susquehanna.
She was a lifelong resident of York, Pa., (West York, Manchester) until 2018 when she moved to Williamsburg to live with family. She was a 1960 graduate of West York Area High School, where “Becks” participated in chorus and the student council.
She married Donald M. Stauch of West York at Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester, Pa., on July 2, 1961. During her working career, she enjoyed computer programming at Noonan Engineering, computer training at Inacom, and real estate sales at various realty companies.
Marcia volunteered her time for many things, including as an active member of the North Eastern Midget Athletic Association (NEMAA) helping to create wonderful memories with her family and making lasting friendships. Later, she served as the mayor of Manchester, and perhaps her most cherished activity, became a beloved grandmother.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but especially by her devoted husband of 60 years, Donald of Williamsburg; children, Michael (Christa) of York, Stacy Ann Stauch of Williamsburg, and Matthew (Tracie) of Williamsburg; and grandchildren, Baron and Deerdra of York, and Grant, Natalie, Drew, and Ava of Williamsburg.
Share online condolences with the family at Nelsen Funeral Home.
