YORKTOWN —Peggy Gibson Buchanan, 81, was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother that went to meet her heavenly Father Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Peggy was born Jan 12, 1940. She was a member of Northside Church in York County. She was a graduate of Averett College and James Madison University. Peggy retired from York County School system after over 40 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Buchanan; and her parents, Joe and Doris Gibson.
Peggy is survived by her son, John Buchanan; and grandson, William Buchanan.
A funeral service will be be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 22, at Northside Church, followed by a reception at the church. Private interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
