NEWPORT NEWS — Daveline Avis Baucom, 72, peacefully passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2021. She fought a very brave fight with COVID-19 but did not win.
She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Robert Baucom; only child, Julie Farmer of Newport News; three sisters, Ann Eastwood, Mary Frances Rilee and Angie Hogge of Gloucester; and only brother, David Howard of Newport News.
Daveline was a beautiful vibrant person who never met an enemy. She was passionate about her house, an accomplished ceramic artist and instructor for the City of Newport News. She dearly loved her dogs, Ice and Dexter, and her flowers. She was a master gardener with Newport News. She was a special soul that will be sadly missed by many. Godspeed and peace.
