NEWPORT NEWS — David Earl Dodrill, 63, passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020.
He grew up in Richwood, West Virginia, and was a resident of Newport News for 46 years. He began his business in 1980 and was the successful owner of David’s Towing and Tire.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Givens; father, Earl Hugh Dodrill; sister, Susie Dodrill; father figure, Rich Richardson; and brother-in-law, Johnny Meadows.
He is survived by his partner, Lisa Ellis; daughter, Casey Jones, and her husband, Christos; fur daughter, Fionna; sister, Glenda Meadows; and niece, Marsha Meadows, and her children, Cierra and Jaylon.
A private memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News. Guests are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. To view the service, click here.
