WILLIAMSBURG — John F. Burns Jr., 54, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at his home.
John was born May 13, 1966, to the late John F. and Gwendolyn Burns in Oakland, California.
He spent his childhood growing up in Virginia Beach, then moved to Williamsburg, where he graduated from Lafayette High School in 1984.
After brief service in the U.S. Navy, John worked as a cook, roofer and in construction for many years. John was an avid San Diego Chargers fan and will be remembered for his kind heart, easygoing nature and big smile.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Walls; and sister, Cathy Ivey.
John will be missed dearly by his sister, Debi Burcham, and her husband, Bart; brother-in-law, Steve Ivey; nephews C.J. Pickin, Chris Taylor and Zachary Ivey; as well as extended family and friends.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services.
