NEWPORT NEWS — Jordan Lee Holz, 29, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020.
Jordan was born Dec. 18, 1990, in Newport News. He was exceptionally known for his free spirit and his kindness. While those who knew him will attest to Jordan being the life of the party, he also shared with the world a big heart. He possessed exceptional compassion for others and would do anything for anyone at a moment’s notice.
He worked for over a decade picking up trades and working with his hands, which allowed him to help family members and friends to improve their homes.
Though he was a near lifelong resident of Newport News, Jordan also spent a few years living in Piney Flats, Tennessee, with his father and stepmother, where he enjoyed visiting waterfalls and taking drives through the mountains.
He is survived by his mother, Carol Holz; father, Fred Holz Jr.; brother, Fred Holz III; sister, Anneliese LaTempa; daughter, Sage Xanthia Holz; maternal grandmother, Anneliese Kirk; paternal grandmother, Nancy Harvey; dog, Paquita; as well as several uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Ronald Kirk; paternal grandfather, Fred Holz Sr.; and maternal grandfather, Harold Kirk.
Services for the family will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Coastal Community Church, Yorktown. Due to COVID-19, the service will be restricted to family only.
Share online condolences with the family at W.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.
