NEWPORT NEWS — Mrs. Mae Jackson, 104, departed this life Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, at St. Francis Nursing Center, Newport News. She was born Feb. 1, 1916, in Leesburg, Georgia.
She is survived by three sons, Clifford Jackson Jr. (Chris), Michael Jackson Sr. (Barbara) and Kenneth Jackson (Sonya); daughter, Catherine Heyward (Anthony); 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, at Weymouth Funeral Home. Visitation will immediately follow the service. Masks are required as well as social distancing. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11, at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Fayetteville.
