Georgianna Louise Jackson Hall, 76, taught preschool and kindergarten at Denbigh Christian Academy

Georgianna Louise Jackson Hall passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 7, 2020, into the loving arms of her savior, the Lord Jesus.

Georgianna was born in Concord, New Hampshire, and spent her formative years in Haverhill, Massachusetts, before marrying into the U.S. Air Force. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School. She worked at Benson Hospital as a nurse’s aide in pursuit of a nursing career. After having to surrender her career in nursing, she went to work at ITT Semiconductors assembling transistors.

Lovingly known as “Nana,” she was preceded in death by her parents, George Jackson and Doris H. Mimms Jackson; and sister, Dorothy Brown Jones.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. James Hall; daughter, Dr. Jamie Norman, and her husband, Chaplain Scott Norman; son, U.S. Army Lt. Col. James R. Hall Jr., and his wife, Kim Hall; grandson, Judah Moshe Hall-Norman; brother, Henry Stoneham of New Hampshire; sister, Jeannette Foxx, and her husband, Robert, of South Carolina; sister, Doris Cepeda Landry, and her husband, Leroy, of Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Bobbie J. Craw of Tennessee; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Children were her passion. While working at Langley Air Force Base Child Development Center, she obtained a certificate from Thomas Nelson for child development and then began working as a preschool teacher at Bethel Manor Child Development Center and then at Colonial Williamsburg. At Denbigh Christian Academy, she worked both as a preschool teacher and kindergarten teacher. She also taught Catechism and Sunday school. She was a former intercessor at Bethel Temple Assembly of God and was a current worshipper of World Outreach Worship Center, Denbigh.

A public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 14, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19, services will be private. A private burial will be held Monday, May 18, in Albert G. Horton Jr. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. Pastors Russell Evenson and Norman Rush Jr. of World Outreach Worship Center will be officiating the services.
