We are saddened to announce the passing of Faye Marie Elledge, 77, as she joined the Lord in heaven Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, with her family by her side. Faye was born Dec. 28, 1941, in North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Elledge; sister, Terry Whitford; and parents.
Faye leaves in memory her son, Allen Elledge; daughter-in-law, Una Elledge; four grandchildren, Ashley (Elledge) Santoso, grandson-in-law, Teguh Santoso, Allen (A.J.) Elledge, Alexis Elledge and Austin Elledge; brother; John (Buddy) Whitford; sister-in-law, Karen Whitford of Mississippi; and extended family.
Faye lived in Hampton for over 70 years, where she worked in the banking service for Crestar Bank for over 30 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Newport News. Faye also volunteered at Liberty Baptist Church as a grief share counselor. Faye brought love, joy and happiness to all in her presence.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, Dec. 16, at Liberty Baptist Church, Hampton. A celebration of life service will follow. Interment will follow the service in Parklawn Memorial Park.
