Richard Harold Sumption, 64, of Ash Wood Drive, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sidney Sumption and Tommie Lou Sumption.
Richard attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He was commissioned in the US Army as a 13A, Cannon FA Officer and completed over five years of honorable service and got out as a captain. Richard received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria; five stepchildren, Matthew, Scott, Daniel, Shaun and Seth; brother, William; and four step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 5, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
