Martha “Maurice” Lee Smith, 78, born in Williamsburg, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018.
Maurice was a dedicated employee of WJCC Department of Social Services for over 30 years. She was also a lifelong member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she served as church historian and was a devoted choir member.
Maurice leaves to cherish her precious memories, her daughter, Denise “Neicy” Jenkins; grandson, Corey Jenkins; great-grandson, Miguel Eggers; sister, Camellia “Skia” Druitt, all of Williamsburg; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many caring friends.
Ms. Smith may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church.
