Betty Jane Templer, 95, of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter E. Templer; and parents, Margaret and Harry Schenk.
She is survived by her children, James E. Templer (Barbara), Richard W. Templer and Joyce E. Seltzer (John); grandchildren, Amy McAllister, Gwen Jenkins, Trent Templer and Danielle Templer, Brittany Hudson, Torrey Harris and Tara Case; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Templer was an extraordinary woman who attended secretarial school during World War II and was active in many activities. Some of her favorite things to do were playing bridge and golf, volunteering at Peninsula General Hospital and exercising in the swimming pool.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 4897 Longhill Road, Williamsburg.
