Crystal Dawn Hartman, 41, of Newport News, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at her residence. She was born Aug. 1, 1977, and was from Yorktown.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Bill Hartman; and maternal grandparents, John B. and Etta M. Davis, all of Yorktown.
Crystal is survived by her son, Brad of New York; son, Mohamed Ahmed Elsafty, daughter, Samara Ahmed Elsafty, and their father, Ahmed Elsafty of Newport News; longtime devoted companion, Mitchell Boggs of Yorktown; parents, Russell “Buck” and Pam Hartman of Hayes and Ellen Davis of Indiana; paternal grandmother, Mary Buxton Hartman, of Yorktown; brothers, John Hartman of Gloucester, Russell and Paula of Lynchburg and Zachariah Hartman of Hayes; former sister-in-law, Ashley Zeno of Poquoson; stepsister, Krista and Yan Byalik of Newport News; stepbrothers, Aaron Riggleman of Newport News, Chris and Lynleigh French, Adam and Brittany French and Matthew French, all of Hayes; nieces and nephews, Madison, Grant, Jasmine, Dallas and Regan Hartman, Chris, Caleb, Landon, Cayleigh, Emma and Ella French; aunts, Brenda Hartman and Linda Eggers; and uncles, Cliff Hartman, Bill and Pam Hartman, and Mark Hartman.
The family had a private service at Riverside-Altmeyer Funeral Home, Newport News, and she was laid to rest by her paternal grandfather, Bill Hartman, at Providence Methodist Church, Yorktown.
