Helen Marie Mathias, 82, of Williamsburg, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Mathias. She was a lifelong member of Grace Baptist Church, a devoted Christian and a loving mother, wife and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Mathias (Janet); daughters, Debbie Smoot (Bobby) and Bonnie Cross (John); grandchildren, Sherry, Kristie, Amy, Joshua, Jason, Samantha, Kaitlin and Austin; and six great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 7, at Grace Baptist Church, 1013 Penniman Road, Williamsburg. Interment will be held in Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Drive, Williamsburg. A reception will follow services.
