Steven Foster Kearby, 71, of Virginia Beach, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018.
Born in Yakima, Washington, he was the son of the late Bill and Betty Kearby. He was a retired educator from Portland Public Schools District 1 in Portland, Oregon.
Steven was preceded in death by a brother, William Kearby.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda G. Kearby; daughter, Rachael Tinsley (Barry); sons, Chad Gallaher (Teresa), Andrew Wattula and Juston Kearby (Frances); sisters, Kathleen Frank (Donald), and Karol Asher (James); brother, Michael Kearby; and grandchildren, Jabari, Emahni, Keilani, Alex, Hayley, Charlie and Asher.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel, 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 2, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
