Sara E. Nolan, 78, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Martha Kornegay; and brother and sister.
She was a member of the Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Sara is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carl; sons, Arnett, Christopher, and his wife, Loretta, and William, and his wife, Maria; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at Memorial United Methodist Church, 804 Gammon Road, Virginia Beach. Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, in A.G. Horton Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
