Albert Nicholas “Al” Vinciguerra, 90, born May 27, 1928, died peacefully, surrounded by loving family Sunday, Aug. 25, 2018.
Albert had many passions in life. He loved his children and grandchildren. He loved his extended family, but most importantly, he loved playing his music and his saxophone. Al proudly served our country during World War II while being stationed in Griesheim Germany. After his service, Al became a successful businessman with a portfolio that included a driving school, grocery store and an antique store. He was also a private detective and an auctioneer. He then established an insurance agency under the name Al Vincent’s Insurance. At their height, there were many agencies across the seven cities. He was a talented musician, and a wonderful bandleader. He will be missed by all who knew him, as well as the many fans who enjoyed his band, “The Melody Makers.”
Left to mourn his passing, but to cherish his memories, are his children, Ronald (Lori), Dena (Randy) and Renee; grandchildren, Margaret (Michael), Jacob (Brittany), Matthew, Kyle, Nicholas and Wesley; and great-grandchildren, Peyton and Madison.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 2002 Laskin Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lewy Body Dementia Association would be greatly appreciated.
