Winston E. Marchman Jr., 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 5, 2018, in Virginia Beach. He was born Feb. 12, 1936, in San Jose, California, to Winston E. Marchman Sr. and Frances G. Lopez.
Winston served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 30 years and retired in 1980. He was a member of the Kempsville Masonic Lodge No. 196, the Khedive Shrine Center and the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Winston E. Marchman III and Ronald Vinton Hargrave; daughters, Sherri Marchman-Day, Jeannine Lechtner and Shawn Marchman; and 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Marcia Keevan.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 717 Tucson Road, Virginia Beach.
