Stephen Ashley Keyser, 76, passed peacefully in his sleep Sunday, March 25, 2018, with his loving family at his side. Always a loving father and husband, he was loved by all who knew him, lifelong friends and folks he’d only just met.
Stephen spent most of his career at BASF Corporation, and traveled extensively as a representative and consultant.
His was a huge heart, and he will live close in our hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Paul Keyser; brothers, Paul Keyser and Samuel Keyser; and first-born granddaughter, Lauren Ashley Fontan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia; son, Stephen Ashley Keyser Jr.; daughters, Cheryl Keyser (Todd Nelson) and Lori Hounshell (Tom Hounshell); and five grandchildren, Brandon Hounshell, Peter Nelson, Ian Nelson, Natalie Nelson and Olivia Nelson.
A visitation will be held from 11 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 30, followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the Hospice House of Williamsburg or the Alzheimer’s Association.
