Deaconess Mattie Jefferson Sheppard Trower, 91, was called to her eternal resting place Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at her home. She was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Charles City, Va.
Deaconess Trower may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at noon, Saturday, Dec. 9, at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 17501 John Tyler Memorial Highway by 11 a.m. on Saturday.
