Bobby Charles Davidson, 76, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016. He was born May 11, 1939, in Mayfield, Ky. He was a graduate of Mayfield High School in Kentucky.
Bobby retired as a U.S. Navy chief after 20 years of service. He also retired from civil service after serving 20 years at Naval Air Station Oceana. He joined New Jerusalem COGIC in 1983, where he served as head deacon.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Kathy Davidson; three children, Michael Davidson, Melody Cross and Marcia Caron; three stepchildren, William, Robert (Korinda) and Jeanette Bond; special beloved grandson, Seth Brecht; three siblings, Donnie Davidson (Susan), Susan Madding and Shirley Hosbon; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Beach Funeral Services, 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, at New Jerusalem COGIC, 118 Bishop Thoroughgood Ave., Virginia Beach.
