
Bobby Dean Lincoln Sr., 78, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2016. Born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, he was the son of the late Wesley and Ersie Lincoln.
He retired as a lieutenant commander from the U.S. Navy after 28 years of active duty service. He was also a member of Norfolk Family Church and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
He was preceded in death by nine brothers and a sister.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Lincoln; son, Bobby Dean Lincoln Jr. of Arizona; daughter, Ursula L. Lincoln of Travis AFB, Calif.; sister, Jessie Mae Dudley of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Robert Cuffee, Roger Schoonover, Western Mwamlima and his nurse practitioner, Patricia Williams.
The family received friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with a fraternity tribute at 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Akira Ota of Norfolk Family Church officiated the services.
