Arthur ‘Art,’ ‘Red’ Leo Yevlove, 89, worked for Grumman Aerospace

Arthur ‘Art,’ ‘Red’ Leo Yevlove, 89 years young, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016.

Art was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on May 6, 1926. He graduated from NYU, was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and worked for Grumman Aerospace.

He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor and upstanding and devoted member of society. He was a very generous man in every sense of the word and his presence lit up any room. He will be remembered by his sense of humor and endless love of the simpler, more important things in life.

His beloved wife and best friend of 52 years, Lucy Yevlove, preceded Arthur in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Elise Stout; son, Marc Yevlove; brother, Julius Yevlove; grandchildren, Lauren Harlan, Will Stout and Daniel Stout; and great-grandchildren, Emmett Scott Burket and Turner William Burket.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, on 47th Street Beach at the north end of Virginia Beach. A celebration of life will follow at Rudee’s on the Inlet Restaurant & Cabana Bar.
