Edward Douglas Stewart, 62, passed away on January 29, 2016 in his home. Ed was born in Virginia Beach and was the son of the late Willard and Evelyn Stewart, and was also preceded in death by his brother, James Stewart.
He was a Master Woodworker and worked as a Carpenter throughout the area. Ed was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, boat and fish, and was a member of several hunt clubs.
Survivors include his two daughters, Stephanie Jowers and her husband Johnathan of Rock Hill, SC, and Christina Stewart of Chicago, IL, one sister, Millicent Pape, one grandchild, Camryn Jowers, his nephews, Jason Stewart and Sean Carman, and a niece, April McGuiness, his long time companion, Nancy Donnelly Skau, his former wife, Lorene Stewart and many good friends and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Rd Chapel.
