Ruth Mae Jones answered the Master’s call on Saturday, January 9, 2016, in her home. She was born on August 24, 1925, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Emmanuel Griffin.
Mrs. Jones was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church on Penniman Road. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her precious memories will always remain in the hearts of her children, Norman E. Corbitt (Curtis) and Kyle Jones (Kathy); her sister, Carithia Winbush; her nine grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral, service, celebrating the life she lived, will be held 12:00 noon on Friday, January 15, 2016, in St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Jones may be viewed only in the church beginning at 10 a.m., and her family will receive friends at 11 a.m. until the hour of her service.
