Warren Reed Crockett, 93, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away on December 28, 2015.
Warren proudly served with the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII before receiving his master’s degree in engineering from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. During his career as an electrical engineer, Warren worked for NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. He was also a member of Fairfax Baptist Temple in Fairfax, and more recently, Williamsburg Community Chapel in Williamsburg. In his spare time, Warren enjoyed volunteering with Williamsburg Hospice.
He will be missed by his loving wife, June Tyler Crockett; his daughters, Angela Crockett Culbertson (Bill) of Fairfax, VA and Louise O’Connor of Mclean, VA; and his grandchildren, Francis O’Connor of Gorham, ME, Kristen O’Connor of Sterling, VA, Melissa O’Connor of Alexandria, VA, Sean O’Connor of Haymarket, VA, and Kevin O’Connor of Warrenton, VA.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, where services will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be held at Quantico National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5.
