William “Bill” Hanes Monroe Sr., of Williamsburg, died Jan. 6, 2015, with family by his side. He was 90. Bill and his father owned and operated Monroe Drug Co. in South Norfolk for many years. Later Bill served as executive director of Portsmouth Radiological Associates.
He is survived by a loving family of wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held by his family in celebration of his entering his heavenly home.
“The time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.” ( 2nd Timothy 4:6-7) A crown awaits.
