Cathy Jennifer Brandt, of Williamsburg, died Oct. 27, 2014, at the age of 70.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Jeanne Scofield and two sisters, Alice Scofield and Wendy Freer.
Cathy worked as an accountant, then retired as the chief financial officer for the Elizabethtown School System of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She was also the treasurer of the Women’s Club of Toano and dedicated time to the Patriot Red Hatters. Cathy was a great mother, loving wife and devoted friend.
She is survived by her husband, David Brandt; sons, Paul Brandt and his wife, Kara, and Judson Brandt and his wife, Angie; her daughter, Heather Hamblin and her husband, Buddy; and grandchildren, Colin Brandt and his wife, Brittany, Cory Brandt, Christian Brandt, Andrew Brandt, Russell Blair, William Hamblin and Jackson Hamblin.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Katherine Gray officiating.
