Patricia May Harabedian, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, at Patriots Colony in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was 92 years old.
Patricia was born on June 11, 1934, in Erie, Pennsylvania, and attended St. Benedict Academy. It was during her high school years that she discovered her love of dancing. At one of the many dances held throughout Erie, she met the love of her life, Harry Harabedian. Together, they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage, many of them spent in Ford’s Colony.
During the early years of their marriage, she and Harry lived in Erie, Boston, Syracuse, and Montgomery before ultimately settling in New Jersey, where they made their home for 25 years while raising their four children. Patricia’s unwavering love, support, and dedication provided a strong foundation for her children and grandchildren.
Patricia was a devoted homemaker. She will be especially remembered for her love of baking. Her home was a welcoming place where neighbors and friends often gathered to enjoy a fresh dessert or a loaf of her homemade Armenian bread. She also worked as a bookkeeper for several companies, reflecting her love of numbers and reconciliations. An avid reader, Patricia treasured the hours she spent at the library with her children, passing on her love of books, curiosity, and learning.
Upon retirement, Patricia and Harry moved to Ford’s Colony in Williamsburg, Virginia, where they immersed themselves in Ford’s Colony activities and quickly found a wonderful group of friends. Patricia was an active member of the Ford’s Colony Ladies 18-Hole Golf League, a member of the “Bogey Babes” golf group, the “Pass Around” book club, a bowling league, and Williamsburg Unit 110 of the American Contract Bridge League. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with her dear friends and often traveled to compete in bridge tournaments.
Patricia cherished the memories she made while playing games, working puzzles, golfing, dancing, and simply being surrounded by family and friends. Her family was a constant source of pride and joy, and she treasured every opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and share in the moments that made each of them unique.
Patricia is survived by her daughter Dayle Brittain (Jim); son Mark Harabedian (Susan); daughter Leigh Ann Kling (Jim); and son Jim Harabedian (Terri). She was blessed with ten grandchildren—Tricia, Leighann, Brian, Laura, Julie, Brad, James, Tanner, James, and Jeanne—and thirteen great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Doran; her father, James Doran; and her husband, Harry Harabedian.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at Saint Bede Catholic Church, located at 3686 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA, on July 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library, 7770 Croaker Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188, or Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
