
Wrengay Rawls Watkins, of Williamsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at the age of 62.
She was born April 8, 1952, in Richmond, to Henry H. and Delia Rawls and graduated from Longwood College in 1974 with a bachelor’s in music education.
Mrs. Watkins taught elementary school music for 28 years, both in Hampton and Virginia Beach. In the process, she put her husband through school and raised a daughter, who turned out to be her proudest accomplishment. She was greatly loved by family and friends and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her brother, Glen Rawls; husband, Tom Watkins; daughter, Erin Moskalski; son-in law, Travis Moskalski; and lately, the apple of her eye, granddaughter, Juliana Linnane Moskalski. She recently welcomed the opportunity to care for Juliana a couple days a week and the two were the best of friends.
Mrs. Watkins was a wonderful person, a gifted singer and a multi-talented musician. She lived a life full of accomplishment and good friends. She lived her life well.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, VA.
