Curtis R. Wilburn, Jr., a native of Wicomico and longtime Peninsula resident, died Monday, March 24, 2014.
He retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief aviation ordnanceman after 25 years of faithful service to his country. He also retired from Yorktown Naval Weapons Station as an ordnance equipment mechanic after 16 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wilburn; son, David Wilburn; and grandchildren, Kennedy and Hannah Wilburn.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Purple Heart Foundation, P.O. Box 49, Annandale, VA, 22003.
