Conway Thomas “Wee” Hudgins, a lifelong York County resident, died Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the age of 76.
He was a self-employed brick mason for over 50 years. He loved spending time with family, fishing and watching NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Mathis; son, Paul Hudgins; brothers, Charles and William; and sisters, Ann and Mary Ellen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Hudgins; daughter, Sherry McCullen (John), of Newport News; brothers, Herbert, Edward and James; sisters, Brenda, Betty, Linda and Judy; grandchildren, Brandy Rice (Rob), Christopher Hudgins (Becky), Shane and Shawn Mathis; and great-grandchildren, Haley, Collin and Landin.
The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Doug Echols officiating.
