YORKTOWN — Yorktown’s Lisa O’Grady was among four members of the Bridgewater College volleyball team who were lauded for their on-court and academic successes by earning spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
O’Grady and the other nominees will now be in consideration through a voting process to become Academic All-Americans.
O’Grady, a senior, is a health and exercise science major with a 3.71 GPA, according to Bridgewater College. She was tabbed third-team All-ODAC after finishing the season with 227 kills on a .274 hitting percentage and surpassed 500 kills and 100 career blocks in her fourth season in the crimson and gold.
Bridgewater College is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Founded in 1880, it was the state’s first private, coeducational college. Today, Bridgewater College is home to approximately 1,450 students.
