WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg Regional Library is hosting its third annual ComicCon, an afternoon of fun celebrating science fiction and fantasy for all ages, Saturday at the Williamsburg Library, the Stryker Center and City Square.

The library said that guests will be able to join local authors Jaqueline T. Johnson, DL Farrar, Allison Keli and Drema Deòraich for a sci-fi fantasy panel at 2 p.m. at the Stryker Center.

Other special guest programs include a presentation on Live Action Role Playing — or LARPing — by members of ORCS LARP, and a Doctor Who panel by the Old Dominion Daleks.

“WRL’s ComicCon has become one of the library’s most anticipated events,” said Adult Services Director Melissa Simpson. “This celebration offers something for all ages and provides an engaging space for fans of science fiction and fantasy to come together and share in the excitement.”

ComicCon will also feature a traditional Japanese drum performance by Tampa Taiko in City Square and a cosplay contest with prizes.

A vendor’s gallery will be open in the Stryker Center featuring local art, gaming and comic vendors. A used book sale will take place at the Williamsburg Library, sponsored by the Friends of WRL Foundation.

The event will run from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 and is free to attend. For more information about WRL and its upcoming events, visit its official website.
