WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary graduate and former All-CAA standout Gabe Dorsey recently became the third Tribe player from last season to sign a professional contract. Dorsey signed with the two-time defending Slovakian League Champions Patrioti Levice.

Gabe Dorsey joins his brother Caleb in Slovakia’s top division. Caleb Dorsey signed with BC Komarno in July. Classmate Matteus Case was the third Tribe player from last season to sign a professional contract, going to Vitória S.C. in Portugal. In total 34 former Tribe standouts have gone on to sign professional contracts and play overseas.

Gabe Dorsey was one of the top shooters in the country throughout his career and led W&M in scoring each of the last two seasons. He earned All-CAA Second Team honors in 2024-25, leading the Tribe to 17 wins, including a fourth-place finish in the CAA at 11-7.

Dorsey started all 90 of his career appearances and finished averaging 12.9 points per game with 1,164 career points, which ranks 26th in program history. The 6-6 wing also graduated as the program’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made per game (3.24), hitting 288 over his three-year career.

Dorsey was known for his marksmanship from beyond the 3-point arc. He ranked among the national leaders during each of his three seasons in Williamsburg. Dorsey was sixth in the country in 3-point field goal % (44.8) in 2024-25 and 19th in 3-pointers per game after ranking fourth nationally in 3-pointers (113) as a junior in 2023-24. As a sophomore in 2022-23, he finished the year fourth in the country in 3-point % (44.4) and 18th in 3-pointers made per game.

Patrioti Levice is based in Levice, Slovakia, which is the capital of Slovakia’s largest district and located in the southwestern part of the country. Founded in 2011, the organization has a rich history, having won the Slovakian League Championship four times (2018, 2022, 2024, 2025), including three of the last four years. Patrioti Levice has competed in FIBA Europe Cup each of the last three years and posted 28-8 regular season records each of the last two years.

Caleb and Gabe are the third and fourth Tribe alums to sign to play professionally in Slovakia, joining Marcus Kitt ’11 with SKP Banska Bystrica in 2011-12 and Oliver Tot ’18 with PP TV Raj Zilina from 2018-20.
